Steam Summer Sale 2017is taking place from 22 June to 5 July, 2017. During this period, almost all of the games on Steam have been on discount. It is a good opportunity to buy some really good games for a lot less than usual. As with the last few sales, the prices remained consistent throughout. However, some regions were greeted with some pricing related controversy due to addition of taxes as well as currency fluctuations. Paradox Interactive, creators of games such as Europa Universalis IV and Crusader Kings II had raised the prices of their games in certain regions. This led to a massive backlash which included giving poor reviews to their games. During the sale, Paradox relented and declared they’d be rolling back their prices after the sale concludes.
